easy homemade marinara over spaghetti
Sauté onion in oil in large saucepan until soft, about 8 to 10 minutes, add garlic and sauté 2 minutes longer. Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce to onions; bring to a gentle simmer and cook, partially covered, 1 hour. Season sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain well and serve tossed with marinara sauce. Divide spaghetti between 4 serving dishes and sprinkle each with ¼ cup Parmesan cheese.
