Preheat oven to 350°F. Place bacon in a single layer in a foil lined, shallow baking pan. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, until partially cooked. Drain bacon on paper towels and allow to cool. Cut bacon strips in half crosswise. Preheat broiler. Wrap each piece of bacon around 1 water chestnut and 1 piece of snow pea; secure bacon with wooden picks. Combine teriyaki sauce, honey and ginger in a small bowl. Brush or dip each wrapped water chestnut in sauce mixture. Place water chestnuts on a broiler pan. Broil 4″ to 5″ from the heat source, 6 to 7 minutes, turning and brushing with any remaining sauce after 4 minutes. Serve with additional teriyaki sauce.
Yield: 24 appetizers.
